Today I find myself the happiest I have ever been. (Maybe that’s because I just got back from Disneyland – the happiest place on earth) Or maybe it’s because I am doing so much in my life I never thought I would be able to do. When I decided not to go to graduate school I did not have a clue where I would end up. But here I am. I am doing something that I absolutely love, and it is so humbling! Clients have become friends. And friends have hired me to travel for photography! This has allowed me to create pockets of time for myself.
I’m sure you know that creating pockets of time for just you is hard! This is true whether you run your own business, work a 9-5, or stay home with your kiddos. It can just be so hard to find time yourself. Some vacations can get put on the back burner. Some weekends are spent running errands. Most weekends are working weekends for me. And I can’t remember the last time I let myself turn off my phone for a few hours. Let alone for a whole day! Last weekend though was mine all mine, and I let myself do all of that while I visited with my family. My extended family lives in Southern California. Which also happens to be where Disneyland is! Of course I had to visit the happiest place on earth!
Thank you for sticking with me! I am so grateful for this platform where I can share my vacation with you. I hope you enjoy these highlights from my day in Disneyland!
P.S. I absolutely loved seeing some of my favorite people at Disney and making a brand new friend! I saw Amber of Amber Lea Photography, and Julie of Julie Paisley Photography. Plus I got to really chat with Kelli of Kelli Lynn Photography and start our friendship! Fate really was my friend this weekend!
