Melissa and I walked into Tara’s parents home, and we were greeted with joy and love! I always know that a private estate wedding will be the best because you are starting the day with extra sentiment and memories already in the air. This one turned out to be one of my very favorites! Tara and her bridesmaids were all in the master bathroom and bedroom. Tara sat face to face with her younger sister Heather. They had their legs wrapped around each other, and there was a sense of comfortable relaxation. Heather was doing Tara’s makeup. But true to her personality Tara jumped up, and she gave me the biggest hug! Tara has a habit of making the people around her feel like her best friend. Her wedding day was no exception! She radiated joy, and everyone around her reflected that!
The grooms getting ready quarters were no different. Scott could not have been happier surrounded by his friends and family. All the groomsmen were accommodating and laughing all day! I can easily say the wedding day wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without their help. When it came time for the formal portraits the groomsmen were ready to lend a hand. They all grabbed a chair, and carried them right over. Then the bridal party all helped by replacing the chairs to their rightful spots. That was just one tangible way I saw the love and support Tara and Scott’s friends were providing them. There were countless other examples throughout the day. It was a privilege to be there and capture them.
Tara and Scott, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your big day. It has been so much fun getting to know you and your family. Your wedding day program was the cutest thing I have ever seen. OMG YOU ARE MARRIED!! It may have been cold, but your love definitely warmed our hearts. Your first 821 days were a great adventure. I can’t wait to see where your next 821 days (and the next 821, and the next) take you! I am so excited for you to see a few of my favorites!
Of course no wedding day would be complete without the amazing team of creatives who make it possible! It’s especially fun when your family all pitch in to help!
