If you had told me when I first met Jenni that in 8 years she would be getting married, and I would have the privilege of standing by her side, I would have looked at you like you were crazy. But here it is 8 years after Jenni and I met, and I really was lucky enough to stand by her side and support her during her Atlanta wedding. I can honestly say that Jenni and I saw each other through practically every aspect of our young adult lives.
So when Jenni met Colton I knew it was good. When she talked about him you could just feel her joy. And her happiness made me happy. As they started dating more seriously I could tell he was different. And Jenni could not have been cuter in her text messages about him! It soon became obvious it was only a matter of time before they were going to tie the knot! And when Jenni texted me a picture of her ring I was elated! Honestly, I probably squealed a little… a lot.
Of course, I was dying to ask her a ton of questions about wedding planning, and being a bridesmaid, and seeing them join their lives together. BUT proper etiquette says you have to wait for the bride to bring it up first. Little did I know Jenni was planning the sweetest bridesmaid ask ever! She sent me a customized jewelry box with super cute hair ties, and a note that said “I can’t tie the knot without you. Would you be my bridesmaid?” Obviously, the answer was YES! And the wedding planning fun began!
In January we had a bachelorette weekend in Big Bear, California. Then in mid March we all flew to Georgia to help Jenni and Colton celebrate their wedding weekend! The trip started with late night mac and cheese, a staple in the Haire house. The next day we had Jenni’s bridal shower and it was filled with people who love her, and I made some amazing new friends! Then things started picking up as we rehearsed, ate, played games, and had a blast. For me, the festivities didn’t slow down until Jenni walked down the aisle. When she stepped into the barn she looked radiant, and all eyes were on her. Jenni, thank you so much for inviting me to enjoy this moment with you and your family. It really was a perfect day!
I hope y’all enjoy some of my favorite cell phone captures from the day! And thank goodness for air drop that let us all share pictures with each other quickly and easily all weekend long!
