Welcome to my home on the internet! Here I’ll be sharing some of my favorite lifestyle hacks, budgeting tips, and dating ideas. You’ll definitely see photos of my pets (You’re welcome!) and some mindful living ideas as JT and I work together to make our first home, the cutest little midcentury bungalow in midtown Tucson, all our own!
Walking into Shannon and Jake’s Stardance wedding ceremony you never would’ve known what their morning had been like. But it was such a testament to their characters, to their families, and to their friends that I want to share it with you.
Wedding photography coverage was supposed to start at 2:00, but I arrived at Stardance a little after 1:00. I like to get to weddings early to make sure I have time to connect with the wedding coordinator, and to say hi to everyone without cutting into the coverage. When I walked into the barn Shannon’s mom, Debbie, immediately greeted me with a huge hug. I had never met Debbie before, but she treated me like a long lost friend! And that kind of love and support was everywhere that I looked. Groomsmen and family members were setting up the reception and ceremony with DIY projects and lots of love!
People were even running errands to create the best day for the bride and groom! Due to unforeseen circumstances Shannon and her bridesmaids ended up having hair and makeup done at the Omni instead of at Stardance. But one by one people left the hotel and brought over everything for Shannon. Her dad brought me the details to photograph. A bridesmaid brought Jake his wedding present. By the time Shannon arrived everything was taken care of! She just needed to drink mimosa’s with her girls and put her dress on. By the time guests arrived everything was perfect, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Everyone stepped up to make Shannon and Jake’s big day memorable. Some might even say perfect.
Shannon and Jake, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this joyful time in your life. I had so much fun celebrating with you! From the beginning to the end you made me feel welcome, included, and loved. I can see so clearly after your wedding that that is how you make everyone feel. From your guests, to your wedding party, to your family. Y’all have hearts of gold and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!!
And of course none of this would be possible without the amazing creative team!
