This weekend Alan and Val braved the rain for their Mt. Lemmon Engagement Session, and it was literally perfect. A little chilly, but otherwise perfect. I absolutely can’t wait to share a bit more of their story with you now!
Val and Alan met salsa dancing at a Dave n busters class. They both went by themselves and ended up being each other’s partners. A few weeks later for Alan asked Val out to go get milkshakes with him. Val loved how unique that was and thought it was a really cute date idea. And it clearly worked – they’ve now been together for 3 years!
While they were dating Val told Alan all about her love for Paris. She’s wanted to visit, to move there, in general just to spend all her time there. So when Alan got a bonus at work he casually mentioned that he thought they should go on a trip to New York and Paris. Val, of course, nearly died with excitement.
Once they got to Paris Alan kept the ring in his pocket the WHOLE time because he didn’t know when the perfect moment to propose would be. But one night, right at sunset, they were at the Eiffel Tower, and there was a vendor selling bottles of champagne. Alan bought a bottle and they went over to sit in the grass. It was right at dusk and the twinkle light lit up The Eiffel Tower. They began talking about their future together. And Alan knew it was the perfect moment to pop the question. Val started crying as soon as she saw the ring box, even before Alan could ask. Now they are just one month away from joining their lives as husband and wife.
Alan and Val, your love for each other is absolutely so clear. From the way you look at each other, to the way you actually finish each other’s sentence. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your love and your story. I can not wait for your wedding day in November!
