What is your favorite snack?
Mine is hands down popcorn. Which makes it convenient that my husband’s is also popcorn. Realistically, what this means is that we grab a GIANT box of popcorn from Costco, and whenever we want a snack we throw a bag in the microwave.
Microwave popcorn every single day may not be the healthiest snack in the world. Actually as a kid my family never ever had microwave popcorn. Nope. My mom would break out our biggest pot, pour some oil in the bottom and pop popcorn on the stove!
When we got a little older we got an air popper that popped the popcorn for us. But the important thing was that the popcorn was fresh, and we buttered and salted it ourselves! So this fall I was looking on Pinterest for cute fall dates! I thought about other ways to make popcorn! And I stumbled upon this thing that I thought was so cool! Popping popcorn ON the cob.
Seriously, the corn pops while it’s on the cob! So I immediately went to Amazon, and bought some! You can find it here I honestly chose this type because I liked the packaging, but there were lots of other options to try too!
It was honestly super easy to make. All we did was place the corn cob into the paper bag that actually came with the popcorn, fold it over twice, and place it in the microwave! We decided the easiest thing to do was to press the popcorn setting! I was shocked! It made SO much popcorn. One cob filled an entire bowl! The final touches were just adding salt and butter, and then it was PERFECT for our movie snack! But we also popped another cob, and that we used to make butterbeer popcorn for our Harry Potter movie marathon! That was perfect!
